Business Services Manager: Weipa Campus

I started as Business Services Manager at Western Cape College in November 2007.

The BSMs main function is to provide leadership and supervision of Weipa Campus office administration and operational staff and for ensuring efficient and effective administrative support is provided to the Weipa Campus.

I enjoy the diversity of the role and the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people. I enjoy interacting and working with people. I like the multi cultural aspect of working at WCC and I like children. I get pleasure from listening to the young ones during my working day.

I have a Certificate in Business Studies, a Certificate in Disability Studies and am currently studying towards a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety. I have over 30 years experience in administration and finance. This is my first foray into Education having come from the Sunshine Coast with a background in community services, working with young people and people with a disability.

I am thoroughly enjoying living on the Cape and exploring the country.  I love going camping and fishing but have yet to catch a barramundi even with all the helpful advice from many expert fishermen.
