The community of Old Mapoon is situated approximately 75km's north of Weipa, on the traditional lands of the Tjungundgi people. This beautiful ocean-side community was originally established as a Mission in 1891 by the Presbyterian Church, and has a very rich cultural history. The Mapoon Campus has an enrolment of approximately 50 students, and caters for Pre-Prep to Year 6 learners in multi-aged contexts. The core business for the Campus is to provide students with an intellectually rigorous curriculum, in a safe and supportive environment, ensuring all students are given every opportunity to reach their full potential.
